Description

Yucca elephantipes is native to South Africa and will thrive in a bright spot in the home (although preferably not in direct sunlight) at temperatures of about 18-24�C. Grown for their foliage and shape, they really do resemble small trees and make an instant and dramatic impact when given pride of place � ideal for a bright room or conservatory. For a touch of variety, they are a great plant to move outdoors to bring a Mediterranean feel to your patio during the summer.

One of the easiest houseplants to grow and care for, the yucca is exceptionally robust, requiring very little water � perfect if you don�t have much time or sometimes forget about them! As Yucca elephantipes holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, you can be sure that these plants will perform superbly for many years to come. Just water moderately from spring to autumn, and less frequently in winter; and they will appreciate a balanced liquid feed every three months.

Supplied with trunk and foliage measuring 45cm+ above the pot (grower pot is 11cm diameter x 9.5cm height). Each cane has one major and at least one more minor break.

Top Tips

Yuccas thrive best in a sunny spot in bright, but not direct sunlight.
Yucca will also tolerate light shade.

Care Information

Water more often in the summer, feeling the top of the soil before you water, and reduce the watering through the winter months.
Apply a balanced liquid houseplant feed every three months.
Not winter hardy, so if grown outside, bring the plant back inside over winter.
It is quite tolerant of temperature in the home but don't let it fall below 7�C.

Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
