Despite its southern European origins, this olive tree is actually well-suited to even colder conditions, demonstrating hardiness down to -8C.

In late spring, the Olive Mini Standard Tree produces creamy-white flowers, followed in particularly warm summers by small olive fruits. The tree thrives in well-drained soil and prefers a sunny position to mimic its native habitat. Whether planted directly into the ground or housed in a pot, it adapts well, offering flexibility for various garden designs.

Pairing this olive tree with other Mediterranean plants such as lavender, rosemary, or thyme can create a cohesive and aromatic garden display.

Supplied as an established mini standard tree in an 18cm pot, 55-75cm tall, ready to plant.

Top Tips

When positioning your olive, choose the sunniest spot available. We recommend that plants are given time outside in the summer to make the most of the available sunshine. Indoors, choose a sunny windowsill.

Care Information

During the growing season keep the compost moist and feed with a balanced liquid feed every month.
Olives can be pruned in early spring - simply consisting of a light trim to keep an attractive shape and to remove any dead, diseased or damaged branches.
To restrict the size of a pot-grown olive, tip prune the main branches, cutting back to a good replacement shoot each year.
Olives are hardy and able to withstand freezing conditions of -5C to -10C. However, severe frosts can damage branches, so many gardeners overwinter their olives in frost-free places, such as sunny windowsills or greenhouses.

Delivery Information

Our experienced team at the nursery will always carefully package and send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive once you receive and plant them. Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
