Description

A classic red rose, 'Red Rumble' is a knockout choice for any garden. This robust Hybrid Tea variety delivers an abundance of richly coloured blooms from summer right into autumn, year after year.

Each flower is a masterpiece in its own right - packed with up to 50 velvety petals that layer and swirl into a striking deep red bloom. The elegant flowers contrast beautifully against the glossy, dark green foliage, creating a display that’s both bold and refined.

As well as looking spectacular, 'Red Rumble' releases a gentle fragrance with subtle spicy notes - just enough to add an extra layer of charm to your garden. Repeat flowering and wonderfully resilient, this rose is ideal for planting in beds, borders, or even large containers where it can truly shine.

Supplied as a bare root rose, ready to plant.

Top Tips
Soak this bare root overnight before planting and do not allow it to dry out once planted, particularly from March to May. Feed well in first year to get established, and deadhead as needed to prolong flowering. Mulch with well-rotted manure or composted bark in first autumn.
Care Information
  • Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as soil conditions are not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry.
  • Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.
  • Add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole and plant so that the graft union - the swollen area when the stems meet the roots - is just below soil level.
  • Water well every other day, daily if the weather is hot and dry.
  • Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.
  • For best results, feed roses in late-March/April and again in late July.
  • To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems.
  • Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.
