Description

Bring timeless elegance and strength to your garden with Rose 'Sir Lancelot' - a distinguished Floribunda variety named after the legendary English knight. With its soft rose-pink blooms and upright habit, this rose is full of character and grace.

Despite its refined, delicate flowers, 'Sir Lancelot' is tougher than it looks. It stands up brilliantly to exposed sites and coastal breezes, thanks to strong stems and a naturally upright form. Each plant is densely clothed in healthy green foliage and produces repeat flushes of beautiful blooms from early summer well into autumn.

The lightly frilled, rose-pink flowers release a rich, classic scent that makes this variety a real joy to grow. Whether you plant it in rose beds, mixed borders or large patio pots, ‘Sir Lancelot’ delivers lasting colour, structure, and fragrance throughout the season.

Ideal for cutting too, the blooms hold well in vases, bringing a little of that garden romance indoors.

Supplied as a bare root rose, ready for planting.

Top Tips
Soak this bare root overnight before planting and do not allow it to dry out once planted, particularly from March to May. Feed well in first year to get established, and deadhead as needed to prolong flowering. Mulch with well-rotted manure or composted bark in first autumn.
Care Information
  • Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as soil conditions are not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry.
  • Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.
  • Add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole and plant so that the graft union - the swollen area when the stems meet the roots - is just below soil level.
  • Water well every other day, daily if the weather is hot and dry.
  • Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.
  • For best results, feed roses in late-March/April and again in late July.
  • To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems.
  • Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.
