Description

An outstanding rose that will steal the attention wherever it is planted in the garden.

A remarkable treat for the eyes and nose, as it produces striking blooms in a deep-pink shade and dappled with white lines to add intrigue, as well as a lovely fragrance to delight the senses, without overwhelming other plants.

Growing as a shrub rose, of a medium size, this will look right at home whether grown in rose beds, or alongside other perennials in a border display.

The long strong stems of ‘Duke of Edinburgh’ make this rose perfect for use as a cut flower to bring the beauty of nature inside the home to be enjoyed for even longer.

What’s more, you will automatically be donating to the DofE's Living Legacy Fund in memory of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. This fund has been established to give one million more young people the opportunity to do their Duke of Edinburgh Award, from all circumstances and backgrounds. For every rose sold, we are proud to donate £2.50 to The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Living Legacy Fund.

Supplied freshly in a 3L pot, ready to be planted out. Please note at certain time of the year this variety may be supplied in a 4L pot.

We always endeavour to provide beautifully formed plants; however, our roses will naturally start to lose their leaves from October to prepare for the colder months. Do not worry though, as they will flourish once again with leaves and buds in the spring. Please make sure you consider the season when purchasing our remarkable roses for yourself or loved ones.

Top Tips
Roses can be planted at any time of the year, as long as the soil is not frozen, waterlogged or drought-dry
Care Information
  • Plant your rose where it can get plenty of sun for at least half of the day, and where it will be sheltered from the wind.
  • Roses tolerate wide range of soils but thrive in deep, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, so add plenty of well-rotted manure into the hole if necessary and plant so that the graft union (the swollen area when the stems meet the roots) is around 3cm below soil level.
  • Water well every other day - daily if the weather is hot and dry. Established roses can be watered around once a week through spring and summer - more if the weather is hot.
  • For best results, feed roses in in late-March/April and again late July.
