Few floral beauties quite match up to the remarkable star quality of the blooms of this outstanding Gazania.

Flushes of exotic flowers with golden-orange petals, not unlike the sun, bloom with light yellow tips to leave all thinking about happy summer memories. The bright shade of ‘Zany Sunny Side Up’ will even draw the attention of butterflies, providing a display teeming with wildlife.

This is a compact variety that will grow well in several garden scenarios, including in a pot, container, bed, or border, preferring full sun. So easy to grow, this beauty will perform well even in drier conditions, and is usefully salt tolerate to make it perfect for those lucky enough to live on the coast.

A long flowering habit will ensure blooms continue to impress from the start of summer, all the way through to November.

Care Guide

Planting Advice:

• Unpack plugs immediately and stand them in water for an hour.
• Plugs may be slightly dry or yellow after being in a dark box in the post, but they’ll quickly recover.
• Put them somewhere warm, light and airy such as a windowsill or greenhouse.
• Plant straight into containers and grow on for a week or two before placing out.
• Give your plants a good water initially, then only when the top compost starts to dry.
• They don’t like to be left in standing water.
• Plant approx. 20cm (8in) apart to allow them room to grow.
• Feed using a high-potash feed such as Blooming Fast Superior Soluble Fertiliser for Flowers & Fruits, to encourage flowering.

Aftercare advice:

• Regular maintenance and watering are essential to grow fabulous containers that last the whole season.
• Check and water containers every day in summer, (unless the compost is wet).
• Aim to keep the compost moist but not soggy and avoid wetting the foliage and flowers.
• From March to June, apply a general-purpose liquid fertiliser once a week.
• Deadhead and trim your plants regularly to maintain shape and encourage new flowers.
• Do not allow plants to set seed.

Although most plants are extremely tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme of weather conditions, we always avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme frosts or heat is forecast. We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.
