Description

This fabulous collection of Mini Orchard Fruit Trees will have your garden bursting with delicious produce from June through to October. The professional standard trees are grown on a dwarfing rootstock making them perfect for smaller gardens, they are also all self-fertile and therefore will pollinate themselves.

In this collection

  • Braeburn Apple - Officially Britain's favourite apple! Braeburn are easy to grow and produce excellent yields in October. Plant this tree straight out in the garden and because this variety of apple tree is self-fertile, it does not need another variety to act as a pollinator. Please keep in mind that you may not see much in the way of fruiting for the first 3 - 5 years as the trees mature.
  • Victoria Plum - What could be more satisfying than being able to pick your own home-grown plums? This 'Victoria' Plum tree will provide you with mouth-wateringly delicious fruits that will be ready to pick from July. A favourite here in the UK, this variety of plum tree will also provide you with gorgeous pink blossom in the spring. Once fully established, this tree can produce up to 100lb of fruit in a bumper season because it is self-fertile.
  • Conference Pear - Conference pears are a medium-sized fruit with a delicious flavour, and now you can grow your own. Once matured, these trees will produce great crops. They are self-fertile and will need no nearby pollinators. Please keep in mind that you may not see much in the way of fruiting for the first 3 - 5 years.

Delivered as 3 x bare root trees, ready to plant out.

Top Tips
  • Soak rootball overnight before planting and keep well watered - especially Spring planting
  • Get trees established well in first year for earlier and bigger crops in future.
Care Information
  • Once established, apples and pears need very little care. Water during dry spells especially if newly planted or in containers.
  • In early spring, sprinkle a general fertiliser around the base of the tree.
  • Apples & pears should be pruned every year. Timing and method of pruning depends on the type of fruit you are growing, and the style of tree.
  • Plum trees will additionally need to have fruit thinned to ease congestion and weight on the branches.
  • Your crop of plums can be greatly increased by regular feeding and watering. Because they can set heavy crops, plums respond well to fertilisers, especially nitrogen.
  • Established trees can be mulched in mid-spring to help retain soil moisture, suppress weeds, and provide nitrogen.
  • Pruning should be carried out in spring or summer - avoid pruning in the dormant season or in mid to late autumn, as there is risk of infection from silver leaf disease and bacterial canker.
