'Kilimanjaro Sunrise' is a simply fabulous shrub that is guaranteed to fill your garden with interest all year long. In spring it erupts into bloom fill your garden with layers of elegant white lacecap flowers that once they begin to age, take on a beautiful shade of blush pink. This is followed by bright and bold, red berries in the summer which help many beneficial pollinators before it flowers again, on a smaller scale, in the autumn. Finally, the foliage on this fabulous shrub takes on a gorgeous bright red-purple colour before falling off in preparation to start again in the spring! It's easy to see why this easy to grow, winter hardy shrub was awarded the Best New Plant at RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2015. Delivered as an established plant in a 3L pot.

Care Guide

Planting Advice for Viburnum 'Kilimanjaro Sunrise':

  • Grow viburnum plants in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any moderately fertile, well-drained soil.
  • Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost into the soil.
  • Plant your viburnum at the same depth as it was planted in its pot.
  • Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.

Aftercare Advice for your 'Kilimanjaro Sunrise':

  • Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established.
  • In spring, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant.
  • Keep plants well-watered and apply a mulch to prevent the soil from drying out.

Pruning Advice for your 'Kilimanjaro Sunrise':

  • Viburnum requires little pruning. Any vertical shoots that emerge can be cut back to their point of origin in summer after flowering and any damaged or dead branches can be cut back to a healthy bud after flowering.

We also avoid dispatching orders over Bank Holiday weekends.

If you have ordered a 'pre-order' item, these will be sent out as soon as possible after the quoted dispatch date and we generally ship your entire order with any pre-ordered items. Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you an email with details on how you can track it.

We send most of our orders via a fully tracked courier service with Yodel. We will send you a tracking link as soon as your order has been dispatched. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, we will not require a signature on delivery, and we ask out couriers to leave your item in a safe place ad your delivery address.

If you have delivery instruction and require our courier to leave your item in a specific place, please let us know - there is an option to leave a message for the courier at the checkout.

For smaller and single-item orders, we may send these via the post with Royal Mail - Tracking will not be available for orders sent via this method.
